Hi everybody,
I was recently hired as an analyst at a hedge fund here in Paris, and unfortunately due to logical compliance reasons I will no longer be able to publish deep dives.
I wanted to thank anyone who read or subscribed to this Substack that I started about a year and half ago. I also got to connect with other fantastic writers on the platform that provided wonderful tips and all sorts of advice.
I initially started this Substack as a way to both improve my analyst skills but also showcase them to investment funds.
Ultimately, I achieved what I had set out to do, but more importantly throughout the journey I met and talked to a bunch of inspiring people.
I was fortunate enough to connect with the widely successful
from The Bear Cave: he told me launching and dedicating time to his Substack was the best decision he had ever made.I don’t have nearly the same pedigree, but my advice to anyone trying to break out into finance or to hone their investing skills would be the same: you should absolutely go for it. Sure, standing out among the crowd is tough, but if you listen to your readers along the way, dedicate yourself and keep trying to get better, the readers will come.
I am not shutting down this Substack entirely, as I have grown a bit attached to it, and who knows what the future holds: I could be able to write again someday!
Let’s just say it will remain dormant, for now.
Thank you again everyone !
Au revoir,
Alaric
Congratulations and good luck !
indeed, writing is the best to improve our skills and confront ourselves to feedback! Congrats!
